TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions govern all services, products, consultations, and transactions provided by Louis Fame Studios (“Studio”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”). By engaging our services, purchasing products, or placing an order, the client (“Client”, “You”, or “Your”) agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
I. SERVICES
A. Interior Design Services
Louis Fame Studios provides interior design consultation, space planning, design concepts, finish selections, furnishings, decor styling, and project coordination services.
B. Architectural Design Services
Architectural design services may include conceptual planning, layouts, design development, renovation concepts, custom built-ins, and related design documentation. Clients are responsible for obtaining required permits, approvals, and engineering services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
C. Furniture, Decor & Styling Services
Furniture, decor, artwork, lighting, textiles, and styling recommendations are provided based on the approved design concept. Availability of products is subject to supplier inventory and lead times.
D. Window Treatment Design & Installation
Custom blinds, curtains, drapery, motorized shades, measurements, and installation services are provided through Louis Fame Studios or approved vendors. Custom window treatment orders are final sale.
E. Smart Living Solutions
Smart home recommendations and integration services may include lighting automation, motorized shades, voice-controlled systems, and related technologies. Third-party products and systems are subject to manufacturer warranties and specifications.
F. Home Staging & Virtual Design
Home staging and virtual design services are provided according to the agreed scope of work. Fees for staging rentals, furniture transportation, installation, and removal may apply.
II. CONSULTATIONS & DESIGN FEES
Consultation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
Design fees, retainers, and project deposits are outlined in individual project agreements and proposals.
Work will not commence until the required deposit has been received.
III. PAYMENT TERMS
A. Design Services
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before work begins unless otherwise specified in the project agreement.
The remaining balance shall be due according to the payment schedule outlined in the proposal or contract.
B. Product Purchases
Full payment is required for furniture, decor, lighting, smart home products, window treatments, and custom orders before procurement.
C. Late Payments
Invoices not paid by the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum amount permitted by law.
Louis Fame Studios reserves the right to suspend services until outstanding balances are paid in full.
IV. CUSTOM ORDERS
All custom furniture, custom millwork, custom window treatments, custom decor, and made-to-order products are final sale.
Once production has begun, orders may not be canceled, modified, or refunded.
Any requested changes may incur additional costs and revised lead times.
V. RETURNS & REFUNDS
Furniture
All furniture sales are final unless damaged during delivery or covered under manufacturer warranty.
Custom Products
Custom and made-to-order items are non-refundable and non-returnable.
Decor & Accessories
Eligible decor and accessory items may be returned within fourteen (14) days of delivery, subject to approval and a restocking fee. Items must be unused and in original packaging.
Services
Completed design services, consultations, digital design packages, and virtual design services are non-refundable.
VI. SHIPPING, DELIVERY & INSTALLATION
Shipping, delivery, installation, and handling fees are the responsibility of the Client unless otherwise stated.
Risk of loss transfers upon delivery by the carrier.
Any damage, shortage, or defect must be reported within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
Clients must ensure adequate access for delivery and installation, including elevators, stairways, parking, and building approvals where applicable.
Additional charges may apply if delivery conditions differ from those disclosed during scheduling.
VII. LEAD TIMES
Estimated lead times are provided as a courtesy and are subject to change.
Louis Fame Studios is not responsible for delays caused by:
Manufacturers or suppliers
Shipping carriers
Material shortages
Weather events
Customs clearance
Labor shortages
Force majeure events
Lead times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
VIII. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All designs, drawings, renderings, concepts, presentations, photographs, specifications, documents, website content, and marketing materials remain the intellectual property of Louis Fame Studios unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Clients may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or reuse design concepts without written permission.
IX. PHOTOGRAPHY & PORTFOLIO RIGHTS
Louis Fame Studios reserves the right to photograph completed projects and use project images for marketing, portfolio, website, social media, publications, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Client confidentiality and privacy will be respected at all times.
X. WARRANTIES
Louis Fame Studios provides professional design services but does not guarantee specific outcomes, financial results, property values, or product performance.
Manufacturer warranties apply to third-party products and materials where available.
XI. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Louis Fame Studios shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from services, products, delays, installations, or project-related matters.
The Studio’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim.
XII. PRIVACY
Client information is collected solely for project management, communication, billing, and service delivery purposes.
Louis Fame Studios does not sell or share personal information except as necessary to fulfill project requirements or as required by law.
XIII. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State in which Louis Fame Studios operates.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation and mediation before legal proceedings are initiated.
XIV. CHANGES TO TERMS
Louis Fame Studios reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
Updated versions will be posted on our website and become effective upon publication.
